Zudem scheinen intermediale Installationen zu einem Paradigma der Kunstproduktion des beginnenden 21. Jahrhunderts geworden zu sein. In dem Vortrag soll zun\u00e4chst eine \u00dcbersicht \u00fcber die unterschiedlichen, durchaus nicht klar abgrenzbaren Begriffe gegeben werden und anschlie\u00dfend auf die historischen Vorl\u00e4ufer und die Entwicklung von Klangskulpturen und Klanginstallationen eingegangen werden. Beispiele hierzu aus den 1950er \u2013 1980er Jahren bilden Arbeiten von Jean Tinguely, Bernard und Fran\u00e7ois Baschet sowie von Max Henry Neuhaus, Alvin Lucier und Bill Fontana. Im Anschluss an diesen historischen R\u00fcckblick sollen Beispiele aus den letzten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts bis zur Gegenwart vorgestellt werden, wie etwa die Arbeiten der Klangk\u00fcnstler Mario Bertoncini und Akio Suzuki sowie die der Gewinner des ersten europ\u00e4ischen Wettbewerbes f\u00fcr Klangkunst, \u201esonotopia\u201c, Philipp Hawlitschek und Nika Schmitt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kurzbiografie<\/strong><br \/>\nKlavierstudium, Studium der Musikwissenschaft, Romanistik und Kunstgeschichte. 1982 Staatliche Lehrbef\u00e4higungspr\u00fcfung f\u00fcr Klavier; 1983 Sponsion, 1986 Promotion, 1992 Habilitation in Musikwissenschaft, seit 1997 ao. Univ.-Prof. am Institut f\u00fcr Musikwissenschaft der Universit\u00e4t Innsbruck. Gastprofessuren an den Universit\u00e4ten Granada (2002, 2004), Bristol (2003), Helsinki (2007 und 2011) und Cardiff (2008). Forschungsschwerpunkte: Musikgeschichte des 19. bis 21. Jahrhunderts, Programmmusik, Beziehungen zwischen visuellen und auditiven Kunstformen, historischen Tanzforschung.
